Early Life and Education

Rory McCann was born on April 24, 1969, in Glasgow, Scotland. As a young boy, he developed a passion for drawing and attended the Scottish School of Forestry near Inverness. After completing school, he worked as a painter on the Forth Road Bridge, connecting Edinburgh and Fife.

Subsequently, McCann worked as a landscape gardener and carpenter before finally enrolling at The Actors' Workshop in Glasgow in 1998. There, he received guidance from painter and actor Robert Parsifal Finch.

Failed Audition and Return to Acting
